1. A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
2. Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief with a law? (Psalms 94:20).
3. "A strong body makes a strong mind... it (the gun) gives boldness. enterprise and independence to the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. No Free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." T. Jefferson
In November, 2009, I will have practiced law for twenty years.
There are many people that need to know specifically how to deal with the many issues involving possession and use of firearms. There are many laws that have been created by the courts, bureaucrats and legistures that create mischief against innocent citizens. This website has been developed as a portal to identify legal and scriptural issues and the needs of our communities and to provide appropriate legal advice where needed. I am only licensed in the State of Washington so any legal advice will relate to Washington law even though there may be information of a more general nature on the site regarding the right to keep and bear arms. Read the piece about the new DC Gun case and the book reviews, especially "That Every Man be Armed". There is a link to a good article about the Civil Rights Movement- Deacons for the Defense.
Our goal is to discuss administration of justice, including but not limited to criminal justice and military matters (see Hebrews 11 and Romans 13 in reference to the power of the magistrate to hold down evil) and the benefits of an armed citizenry. See http://www.firearmslawyer.net/. The Law Firm of Mark Knapp is deploying some new approaches to the practice of law so we welcome your feedback. Send us some pictures especially in a format that will be easy to save on the computer (so the photos can easily be uploaded to the web site).
Pictures of military armament, practice sessions or sporting arms (preferrably hand held with you and/or your friends or family in the picture) will be the most interesting. So whether you are a Bible believer, an armed citizen, police officer or public official, please contact us and send us your comments and pictures.
You may have ideas about how to prepare your community to deal with an emergency or just want to know about your rights and obligations; we will answer your legal questions, questions about firearms and civilian defense. We are looking for feedback from military personnel, police, government officials and regular working people. Use the site to stay in touch, get legal questions answered or communicate about how to make our communities safe and enjoyable. If you think you have a legal problem, we will be happy to schedule a confidential consultation to determine how we may be able to help you.
You can e-mail us at knapp.m@comcast.net with comments or questions or click the button for an Ethernet call.
