There is an old adage that I often quote that says, “Just because you know you are paranoid, don’t think they are not out to get you.” We live in an age where conspiracy theories abound. Some people thrive on conspiracy theories, while other people reject the idea that conspiracies can explain historical events. The very nature of conspiracies when they do exist usually makes it difficult to provide solid documentation for historians.
For this reason, I usually try to avoid such discussions. It seems to detract from credibility as a lawyer to speculate in matters that are unlikely ever to be proved (or disproved). Nevertheless, the very nature of conspiracy theories is such that widespread belief in conspiracies has destabilized societies in ways that can be very well documented. For instance, the German High Command promulgated false documents, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, purporting to be a Jewish conspiracy and utilized the documents to create paranoia in Czarist Russia and other countries. Hitler’s beliefs in a Zionist conspiracy helped to bring about the subversion of Germany’s Weimar Republic and, in many quarters of Europe and the Middle East, the Protocols are still accepted at face-value as historical fact.
Another popular conspiracy theory has to do with the Illuminati. The fact that the group existed as a secret society in Germany is well documented. Adam Weishaupt, a professor of canon law (Catholic Church law), infiltrated various Masonic lodges across Continental Europe with cell groups that operated much like modern intelligence networks. Ingolstadt University, a Jesuit institution, provided a base of operations and the network recruited by appealing to a variety of beliefs, including Theosophy, Rosicrucianism, necromancy, social reform and various occultist practices that were attracting freethinkers in Europe.
George Washington and Benjamin Franklin were familiar with the Illuminati and its methods. Additonally, Frederick the Great, an accomplished Freemason and master of intelligence and counter-intelligence, was quite adept at using the networks of secret societies that infested Europe in the 1700s as strategic tools to further Prussian geo-political interests.
The relevance of the Illuminati to modern political discourse owes to the allegation that the followers of Professor Weishaupt went into the publishing business, promoting socialism and revolution in France and other countries. The story continues that the various factions of radicalism and occultist secret societies were ready to be knit together by an ideology that would transcend all the various threads of occult speculation, utopianism, anarchism and social reform.
In 1848, Karl Marx made his announcement that the “spectre of International Socialism” was already haunting Europe and striking fear into the hearts of Europe’s kings and aristocracy. There is no evidence of which I am aware that Marx was paid to write the “Manifesto”, but it is difficult to dispute that “Das Kapital” itself is a hugely successful conspiracy theory. Engels actually did finance Marx’s research- research that provided an overarching rationale for forging an instrument of worldwide terror out of the assortment of strange and conflicting beliefs that constituted the earlier Internationales.
But there is a modern New Age twist that seems to position the 200 year old Illuminati boogeyman to appear as a social phenomenon that is just beginning to be recognized at this time. Please do not just turn me off because you are sick of hearing about conspiracies of the left and the right. The emerging New Age doctrine makes the Illuminati 10,000 years old. To make things stranger, the teaching purports to have a basis in the Biblical account of Genesis before the flood:
"Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”
Genesis 6: 1-4
According to the New Age interpretation of the Bible, however, the Illuminati were extra-terrestrial Nephilim that eventually inhabited ancient Babylon- and the creatures are still interbreeding and producing offspring- including the family of President Bush! The alien reptoids allegedly manipulate politics and are preparing our world for a new Babylonian tyranny, operated on an intergalactic scale and with headquarters in underground fortresses beneath major American cities.
If you think this is far-fetched, just start surfing the internet- it gets more far-fetched! David Ickes, a self-professed New Age warlock and former BBC journalist, has pictures of the “reptilians” and will explain that George Bush and his co-conspirators engineered the destruction of the WTC and other terrorist attacks in order to create an Illuminati signature announcing the reptilian New World Order.
Just as in a fascinating television series I used to watch on occasion, there are apparently good reptilians and bad ones, with some extra-terrestrials exhorting humanity to eschew weapons of mass destruction and to learn to get along, while others are ready to turn Planet Earth into a giant slave farm in order to feed the master reptile race during its travels across space.

Some theorists, the so-called Luciferians, go one step further and posit that the reptilians are a sinister race of manipulators that fostered organized religion and ancient Judaism for the purpose of mind control and conformity.
Thus, the God of Christianity and Judaism (and presumably Islam) is nothing more than a myth to deprive humans of our individuality. This is actually not far removed from what Icke is stating in his numerous publications. Any information about LaRouche and/or Icke's organizations will be appreciated. It is not difficult to see why such deceptions contain an Anti-Semitic tendency that is also hostile to orthodox Christianity.
There is also reason to believe that Fabian Socialism, which attracted some of the most notable social thinkers of England in the early 1900s, started as a group of workingmen and women that were holding séances to contact the dead at which time they started receiving messages pertaining to economics, trade unionism, feminism and social reformation.
Eventually H. G. Wells and George Bernard Shaw, Sydney Webb and other influential intellectuals were drawn into the movement. The social framework these individuals envisioned has shaped modern England and the rest of today's world in ways that cannot be over estimated.
The only reason that there is so little discussion of these matters today is because the Fabian program (gradually transforming society by instituting small changes in the laws of a nation and moving towards global government in increments) has become so familiar that we just shrug our shoulders and pass it off as more liberal-progressivism. Fabian was a Roman general that used tactical deception in order to keep his enemies unaware that they were being enveloped.
America has been enveloped by many schemes that are presented as small changes in the laws- just a small change here and a small change there. Keyesian economics- nothing new to America or the rest of the world- has now created massive deficits that were unimaginable one year ago.
Many people find their “spirituality” in New Age religion. Most will proudly tell you that they are apolitical and, indeed, New Agers seem to be cheerfully non-dogmatic. The fact is that the New Age is a modern incarnation of Madame Blatavatsky’s esoteric Theosophical doctrines which had a definite political component.
Blatavatsky was a Russian living in Paris in the 1800s and her Theosphical Society was an eclectic combination of Hinduism wrapped around an arguably potent political agenda; i.e., “hidden masters” were moving through human society and inculcating the planet with higher wisdom by means of clairvoyant and direct communication via selected individuals. Southern California and parts of Arizona have long been riddled with such cults- e.g., the town of Landers, California and Sedona, AZ.
In Yelm, Washington, a former housewife is “channeling” an ancient warrior named Ramtha. Ramtha gives financial advice, psychological guidance and even political counsel for a fee. People come from all over the world to places like Sedona, Arizona and Yelm in order to be near a “vortex” of supernatural power.
Aldous Huxley, another intellectual from a family of England’s most notable intellectuals, used his novels as platforms to propagate “brave new worlds” where children would be cared for by the tribe rather than by nuclear families and legal systems would meld into a unified primitivism where government would tend to be much less defined, nurturing and organic because populations would be pacified by drug induced euphoria and Eastern mystical experiences. Recent statistics for drug use and other social developments demonstrate that the U.S. is rapidly approaching such a time!
In the Fifties and Sixties, Huxley and the CIA were experimenting with LSD, while Aldous’ uncle, Julian Huxley, was busy promulgating a social agenda that sounded vaguely like the utopian, mushroom-eating societies favored by nephew Aldous. Julian’s counter-intelligence/propaganda apparatus was headquartered at UNESCO, where he was head of the UN religious mission. I
n “Religion Without Revelation”, Julian Huxley identified the sense of the numinous (feelings of awe and religiosity) and announced that a universal world religion was necessary to provide access to profound feelings of spirituality; i.e., numinosity made available to everyone without the need to look to higher authority (Biblical revelation) and without any need to strive for righteousness. Righteousness is now an outmoded concept- not just for modern thinkers at UNESCO but in many of our churches!
Is there something subversive about trying to conjure up some religion that has roots in the ancient Vedic system? Why shouldn't people go to Sedona and experience shamanism while drawing power from an ancient vortex or pay thousands of dollars for spiritual and financial advice from Ramtha? (Ramtha is the ancient demon-warrior channeled by the former housewife in Yelm).
Witchcraft (which has always been connected with the use of pharmaceuticals) and New Age religion have their roots in the same soil. The drugs, rebellion and lawlessness of the Sixties are the fruit of a secular-humanist agenda that was blue-printed by Julian Huxley under the auspices of the United Nations.
Aldous Huxley, along with Timothy Leary and other products of CIA research programs, were the Pied Pipers that lead a whole generation into a quagmire of left-wing paranoia and New Age confusion (see the book "Acid Dreams" for a psychedelicized history of how the U.S. conducted covert operations that fomented much of the craziness of the Sixties). Many people refuse to discuss such issues because, quite frankly, it sounds loony to seriously discuss reptilian inter-breeders and secret societies that have their roots in Eighteenth Century Europe.
David Icke is, nevertheless, a man with a substantial following (just Google reptilians if you think I am exaggerating) and poses a possible threat to our nation's well-being. His New Age followers have money. Are they a threat?
The only threat I see at this point is that Icke or networks that follow his worldview seem to have some ability to masquerade as orthodox Christians and there are websites that are ostensibly maintained by Baptist ministries that are more in line with Icke's reptilian conspiracy theories than with traditional Christian teaching. Such narratives discredit Christian churches by making it seem as if serious Christians are advancing a worldview that attacks virtually every legitimate social institution, including Billy Graham and the Catholic, Baptist and Morman Churches (all Illuminati operations, according to Icke). Additionally, advocating that the President is an accomplice to terrorism is tantamount to inciting revolutionary violence, in anybody's book!
Although I have not received any information that indicates that a significant number of New Age adherents are preparing to use armed force, there is a subtle anti-Semitic influence to Ickes’ theology that deserves close inspection. The fact that he worked for the BBC may explain his tendency to vilify Israel and the Jews- and he may be a professional provocateur. The name Lyndon LaRouche somehow comes to mind when I start researching these matters but I have been unable to find a connection between the two operations.
LaRouche is most active in the Midwest and promotes a wide variety of bizarre conspiracy theories by means of a variety of fronts and the LaRouche organization makes credible claims to have once had inroads into the Reagan Administration, at least to the extent of sharing intelligence with the U.S. government. There is no doubt that LaRouche (and probably Ickes) have extensive intelligence networks and extremely well-informed followers. The LaRouche ideology is difficult to nail down but dangerous and laden with religious overtones, nevertheless. He started out as a professor at Columbia and was also affiliated with the radical SDS there.
Finally, I have to conclude by stating that anyone that has read “The DaVinci Code” (yes, I know it is fiction) has already been inducted into the teachings of a secret society that goes by various names and coverings. The “Merovingian Bloodline” is a manifestation of an ancient esoteric doctrine and network of secret societies that may have a pedigree going back to a time before Charlemagne, during the time when King Dagobert and his descendants were attempting to perpetuate the succession of the royal bloodline to the Frankish throne. These networks, if they still exist, claim a genetic connection to Christ via Mary Magdalene. There seem to be powerful political and elite family interests in Europe that may be laying the groundwork for such claims.
It is unlikely that a European Union leader would directly make a claim to be descended from Christ but “The DaVinci Code” (and the “The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail”, retitled Holy Blood, Holy Grail in the United States) have already created a predisposition in the popular imagination toward deception that neatly dovetails with growing legions of UFO believers promulgating their own conspiracy theories; i.e., theories about the U.S. Government’s alleged cover-up of extra-terrestrial activities. “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” is a pseudo-historical book by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln, which is based on a hoax pertaining to the Priory of Sion in France.
If all this sounds like the X-Files, I apologize. As usual, I am hoping to get feedback so that I can better understand whether David Icke is a master conspirator in his own right or just a kook that is making a great deal of money from his own vortex of followers. I predict that you will hear more of such matters as time goes on. There are already talk shows that discuss the reptilians and countless websites, too. If nothing else, be aware that New Age religion has a potent political aspect to it that has not even been recognized by the mass media.
Many New Age followers believe that a Messianic Avatar will appear to initiate the Age of Aquarius and set up a government along the same Utopian principles articulated in Aldous Huxley’s novels. The unwritten subscript of the coming election is really about whether we will continue to be governed by traditional concepts of rights and duties, checks and balances and the original meaning of the U.S. Constitution or a New World Order managed by the dancing Wuli-Masters. Once you understand the underlying spiritual issues, all the weirdness starts to make sense.
And if it all seems harmless, the Third Reich was ushered in during just such a time as this. A Spiritualist in England named Chamberlin was receiving messages by means of trances and automatic writing that announced a new human race to be created by eugenics (genetic engineering).
Hitler himself was looked on as a New Age Avatar by followers of esoteric doctrines and was also very popular with the progressive-socialist types that we politely call "liberals" today.
Hitler believed in gun-control for everyone except the Teutonic warriors that followed him (his followers tended to be homosexuals and criminals that also favored drugs like cocaine). The one common thread that runs through all the contradictory philosophies described in the present article is the belief that a benign government will interlineate social solutions that create a society with little or no conflict- an organic society where individualism moves aside and gives primacy to unifying values.
Judeo-Christian ethics (e.g., defending the defenseless, traditional moral values and allegiance to the Biblical Creator) create conflict and destroy man-made social unity- the unforgiveable sin in any totalitarian-humanistic paradise. Unity is a worthwhile goal to be sure- as long as the price does not require sacrificing our minds and our allegiance. We should not let eternal values take second place to family, government, economic theories or even religious affiliation.
The goal for the National Socialist Nazi Party was to turn Germany and all of Europe back to the primitive values of paganism and nature-worship. See the book "Morning of the Magicians", a source book for occultist conspiracy theories that has some historical value even though itself certainly written by occultists.
According to the authors, Hitler's fascination with the occult was like a glue that held the whole German National Socialist deception together. We should shun anything that has to do with any deception and be very careful about subscribing to most conspiracy theories. Nevertheless, the Scripture instructs us to expose the works of darkness and to be vigilant because the devil is constantly seeking to deceive the very elect.
