for everyone

A good neighbor sounds the warning when a crime is being committed.  If we remain silent like almost all German Lutherans (and Catholics and others in the mainstream German churches) did when Hitler's National Socialist Party was hammering on "the Jewish question" then we are not good citizens, nor are we followers of Christ.  Very few Christians sounded the alarm in Germany (or the rest of the world, for that matter) because no one took it seriously when Nazi's stated that they were bent on destroying "World Zionism".  This is the pattern every time a genocide occurs.  Afterwards we all shake our heads and ask, "How could the world just stand by?"  Well, now we know how it happens.

In the case of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the Left had convinced the world that Pol Pot was an agrarian reformer.  Mao was supposed to be such a reformer, too (even after murdering 60,000,000 people).  Like the Turks in Armenia when they murdered about 2,000,000 before and during World War I.  The list goes on and on.  The Twentieth Century is distinguished by its genocides.

This is not the time to go back to business as usual.  It is in the interest of the United States to stick to our guns in Iraq and the worldwide effort to combat jihad.  Do not be deceived by the nay-sayers.  Barack Obama had already decided to stay the course in Iraq in the event that he took the White House.

The nay-sayers were upset when we went to Afghanistan.  Then we heard that we should not go into Iraq because U.S. interests were not at stake and we should be focusing on Afghanistan and on catching Bin Laden and dealing with North Korea, etc.  The same nay-sayers that wrung their hands over the Gulf War (another "Viet Nam quagmire") questioned the President's motives relating to the second action in Iraq because "we didn't go in and remove Hussein in 1991?"   Now the surge is working.  You can hardly tell from the news outlets that it is working.  Nevertheless, the news in Iraq is good!

Culture makes a difference in how we fight, as well as for what we fight.  See more on these subjects and related matters at:
